Michael Giangregorio

Michael Giangregorio is running for re-election as legislator of Nassau County’s 19th district. Legislator Giangregorio actively supports county initiatives that protect our environment, such as preserving open spaces, reducing emissions, promoting efficiency and renewable energy, safeguarding groundwater resources, cleaning up pollution, improving transportation systems, and promoting sustainability. He had valued environmental conservation long before he served in elected office. For example, as a former Boy Scouts of America Leader, he underwent “Leave No Trace Training,” an outdoor code of ethics that promotes environmental protection. If re-elected, Giangregorio will introduce a hazard mitigation plan to evaluate threats to our energy infrastructure and continue transitioning public transportation to electric.
