Mercedes Narcisse

Mercedes Narcisse is running for re-election to represent District 46 in the New York City Council. Narcisse has supported many environmental initiatives within District 46, including the Fresh Creek Coastal Protection Project in Canarsie and has organized waterfront clean-ups. She is an advocate for a 1% budget investment in the city’s green spaces and sustainable food security programs like GrowNYC, and further fights for food justice by hosting a weekly “Healthy Cooking” seminar to educate residents on healthy food options and recipes. If elected, Narcisse commits to improving accessibility and sustainability in public transportation and funding coastal resiliency projects.
