Matthew Miller is running for re-election as the legislator for Albany County’s 36th district. Before his election in 2019, he served as a Regents and AP Biology teacher, the Local Teachers’ Union President for 18 years, and a District Energy Education Manager for six years. Since his election, Miller has been a member of the Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives and Health committees. He also serves on the Board of Elected Officials to Protect America (EOPA)-NY, which aims to address the climate crisis, promote environmental justice, and safeguard our lands and waters, through initiatives such as clean transportation, offshore wind, and building electrification.
