Lynne Lekakis

Lynne Lekakis is running for re-election as the legislator of Albany County’s 8th district. Since being elected, she has worked vigorously to pass laws protecting parkland and investing in green infrastructure like the Port of Albany. Recently, Lekakis worked to pass a law to preserve more green space and support a mechanism to add even more. Lekakis has also supported infrastructure improvements, mass transit improvements, a green bus fleet, and many other initiatives to tackle transportation pollution. If re-elected, Lekakis plans to pursue projects supporting local food production, community gardening, neighborhood cleanups, and education that allow her constituents to be aware of their consumption and waste.
