Linda Rosenthal
Linda Rosenthal is an incumbent seeking re-election to represent Assembly District 67. In her time in the Legislature, she has passed laws to ban the use of lead wheel weights in vehicle tires, to require fully shielded lighting fixture on state-owned and operated properties, to ban the use of glyphosate on certain state-owned and operated properties, to ban the use of coal tar in pavement sealant products statewide and to require on-package disclosure of ingredients in menstrual products. Moreover, she is the sponsor of legislation to require ingredient labeling on diapers, to require climate change education in public schools, to provide restaurants with a tax credit for recycling used oyster shells so that they can be distributed into New York’s waterways to help clean the water, to ban the use of five toxic chemicals in nail polishes, and to make plastic cutlery and straws available upon request only in New York restaurants statewide. In the next session, she plans to continue her efforts in supporting green-minded legislative priorities.
