Keith Powers

Keith Powers is seeking re-election to represent District 4 in the New York City Council. He promotes environmental policies that concern waste management, and is the lead sponsor on the Zero Waste Package, expanding composting and recycling. His accomplishments include the establishment of three new locations for composting within the district, support of the East Side Coastal Resiliency project to upgrade resiliency infrastructure, and the creation of a new park on the East River. If re-elected, he plans to support an environmental agenda to make New York City a leader and model on sustainable practices.
