Justin Brannan

Justin Brannan, formerly representing District 43, is running to represent District 47 in the New York City Council. He is committed to the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy resources, coupled with resiliency projects to reduce the impacts of climate change. As the Chair of Finance, Brannan fought to increase funding for sanitation services in the budget and has dedicated major capital investments to rehabilitate parks and open spaces in District 43. If elected, Brannan plans to secure federal funding to combat storm surge and food risk in coastal communities in District 47, along with ensuring climate resilience and adaptation are integrated into all planning decisions in NYCHA campuses.
