Jason Richberg

Jason Richberg is running for reelection as legislator of Suffolk County’s 9th district. While in office, Richberg has worked closely with representatives from the county’s open space and farmland preservation programs to enrich recreation and nature preservation spaces. Critically, he has strongly supported the Suffolk County Water Quality Restoration Act, NYLCV’s top priority in Suffolk County. Richberg aims to address this partially by protecting waterways and groundwater and improving storm resilience in building infrastructure, particularly in underserved communities disproportionately impacted by climate change. If re-elected, Richberg will prioritize a strong green economy by advocating for clean energy sources like wind and solar.
