Gale Brewer

Gale Brewer is seeking re-election to represent District 6 in the New York City Council. Throughout her time in elected office, Brewer has allocated millions of dollars to parks all over Manhattan, reduced city carbon emissions from stores and restaurants, and supported mandated curbside organics collections. She is in favor of congestion pricing, the elimination of landfill waste, the Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency Plan, and the expansion and improvement of the Cooling Center program. If re-elected, Brewer hopes to get clear answers from HPD and DOHMH about lead testing and enforcement, install water fountains all over NYC, and pass better measures that contribute to Vision Zero.
