Dustin Reidy

Dustin Reidy is running for re-election as legislator for Albany County’s 30th district. Since taking office, Reidy has co-sponsored the Albany Clean Air Act of 2020, prohibiting waste burning in Albany Count; he co-sponsored the STAGE Act, establishing a green economic development plan; co-sponsor of Local Law L of 2022, creating the Albany County Nature and Historic Preserve system; and he recently introduced and passed Local Law A, which provides a county property tax exemption for the construction of buildings meeting LEED standards. If re-elected, Reidy plans to fight climate change by creating incentives at the county level to accelerate a transition to renewable energy.
