Donald Clavin Jr.
After being the Hempstead Town Receiver of Taxes for more than 18 years, Clavin knows how to create effective policies for Hempstead. As supervisor since 2019, Clavin introduced and promoted Vision 2040, a goal to transition all town vehicles to electric by 2040. Furthermore, he supports increasing electric vehicle charging stations throughout Hempstead. Along with making local government offices paperless, Clavin increased the fines on illegal waste dumping as well as testing beach waters for harmful nitrogen. If re-elected, Clavin will leverage government grants to improve sustainable infrastructure and other environmental protection projects in Hempstead.
