David VanLuven
David VanLuven is running for re-election as Bethlehem Town Supervisor. VanLuven is passionate about reducing the town’s reliance on fossil fuels and enhancing energy efficiency. During his tenure, the town has implemented energy-saving measures in one of its water treatment plants, which has decreased energy consumption by 460 MW hours per year. The town has also increased its acquisition of electric vehicles, invested in constructing sidewalks to improve pedestrian safety, and constructed a compost facility that converts over 2 million cubic feet of yard waste into 500,000 cubic feet of high-quality compost products annually. If re-elected, VanLuven plans to prioritize Climate Smart Community certification by implementing initiatives to reduce the town’s greenhouse gas emissions.
