As a non-incumbent candidate, Bligh would bring a fresh and highly informed environmental voice to the Legislature. He has spent the last 15 years working as an environmental consultant ensuring compliance with environmental regulations on large development projects. As a legislator, David plans on making the preservation of Long Island’s aquifer and other waterways a top priority. More specifically, Mr. Bligh will focus on limiting the amount of nitrogen, PFAS & PFOA, and 1,4 Dioxane pollution in Suffolk, especially within Lake Ronkonkoma. With a strong well-funded grassroots campaign well underway, Bligh is confident he can mount a successful challenge to incumbent Tom Muratore and will transform his breadth of environmental knowledge into action at the legislative level.
