Bridget Fleming

Bridget Fleming is running for election in an open seat in Congressional District 1. Since her election to the Suffolk County Legislature in 2015, Fleming has championed legislation that helps remove toxic substances from construction sites and allocated funding for water quality and sustainable infrastructure projects. In her former role as Southampton Town Councilwoman, Fleming co-sponsored legislation to outlaw single-use plastic bags and wrote policies to prevent toxic waste from entering the town landfill. If elected, Fleming will work to ensure clean drinking water for her community in Long Island and will advocate for investments to protect coastal regions from the threat of climate change.
