Brian Kavanagh

Brian Kavanagh is running for New York State Senate District 27 and has been an incumbent since 2017. In 2021 Kavanagh established a Carpet Stewardship Program (S2872) to phase out PFAS in carpet production and create goals for carpet recycling. If re-elected, he plans to help pass legislation in line with environmental goals including the All Electric Building Act as well as S2366 to require accident prevention plans for oil spills.
