Currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Legislators, Boykin has fought for the environment since joining the legislature in 2013. Boykin helped ban the use of heavy heating oils, and under his leadership, the board approved the electrification of county vehicles as well as the installation of electric charging at county-owned facilities. The county hopes to have a completely emission-free fleet by 2030. Boykin supported the investment of millions of dollars for wastewater treatment plants in Yonkers, Port Chester, Mamaroneck, and Ossining. If re-elected, Boykin will continue to protect the environment by advocating for the increased use of renewable energies and green transportation technologies.
