Angie Carpenter

Angie Carpenter is running for re-election as Supervisor for the Town of Islip. With a lengthy career in local government, Carpenter has always been a strong advocate for the environment. As a Suffolk County Legislator, she fought hard to protect Sagtikos Manor in Bay Shore, preserving open land and an important historical site. Carpenter was also instrumental in the early development of the local recycling program. As Supervisor, she has made significant progress in advancing the town’s environmental agenda, earning recognition as a Climate Smart Community, and implementing innovative waste management strategies. If re-elected, Carpenter plans to prioritize sustainable development, protect waterways, and explore new ideas to benefit the environment and residents.
