Andrea Stewart-Cousins

Andrea Stewart-Cousins is running for State Senate District 35 and has been the incumbent since 2007. As the senate majority leader, Stewart-Cousins facilitated the passing of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, which enforced regulation on greenhouse gas emissions as well as created numerous green jobs throughout the state. If re-elected, Stewart-Cousins will advocate for increased spending for environmental programs that will help New York State reach its term goals.
