Brian W. Kennedy
Brian Kennedy is a partner in the Firm’s Land Use & Zoning practice group. He has represented commercial and residential clients throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties to secure zoning changes, subdivision approvals, site plan approvals, variances, road abandonments, and special use permits. Mr. Kennedy counsels clients on a variety of environmental issues including Brownfield applications, environmental enforcement actions at both the state and federal levels, and asbestos and lead paint compliance actions.
Before joining the Firm, he served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Queens County District Attorney’s office. Most recently, he served in the Organized Crimes & Rackets Bureau at the Queens County District Attorney’s office, where he conducted investigations utilizing long term eavesdropping warrants. Prior to that, he was Assistant District Attorney at the Queens County District Attorney’s office Supreme Court where he conducted pretrial investigations, evidentiary hearings, grand jury presentations, and tried numerous felony cases to verdict.
Before the District Attorney’s office, Brian served as a legal assistant for a Suffolk County based law firm where he prepared legal memoranda on issues including constructive trusts, and easement and zoning issues.
