This year, we are excited to welcome Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano as the evening's keynote speaker, and to honor Neal Lewis, Executive Director of the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College, for his work on Energy Star Homes Laws.

Decline Of Long Island Shellfish Linked To Greenhouse Gas

Future may bring oil and gas exploration off Long Island’s Coast

Several companies' plans to explore for oil and gas along the Atlantic Coast would include waters off the southern coast of Long Island according to a Florida Today article.

To address these sustainability challenges, the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund has released its 2009 East End Agenda, which serves as a comprehensive roadmap for elected officials and policymakers.
