Ricardo leads up NYLCV's policy advocacy efforts throughout the state, mobilizing our advocates, meeting with elected officials and their staffs and providing policy expertise. He also leads the NYLCV Education Fund team in formulating policy agendas for state, county, city and town governments. Those agendas provide detailed policy recommendations to government officials, and also serve as an accountability tool that sets the bar and monitors government's progress in meeting environmental goals.
Ricardo brings significant policy and political expertise to the NYLCV bench. He holds a master's degree in urban policy analysis from Milano/The New School for Nonprofit Management and Urban Policy Analysis and is a graduate of the University of California/Santa Cruz. He has also worked as a housing director for Annabel Palma, who represents the South Bronx on the New York City Council.
