Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner and the Town Board have made energy conservation a priority. In the latest move in a string of environmental reforms, the town of Greenburgh has set up a Climate Change Task Force [1] to oversee energy conservation efforts and curb greenhouse gas emissions, according to Town Supervisor Paul Feiner [2].
In 2002, Greenburgh required all new residential developments to comply with state and federal Energy Star guidelines. Under the new taskforce, energy conservation coordinators Allegra Dengler and Deann Cartwright plan to expand that initiative to include commercial buildings.
Greenburgh residents interested in serving on the Task Force can email their resumes to townboard@greenburghny.com [2].
