New York State’s 2012-2013 budget makes important sustainability progress, particularly in areas like environmental funding, mass transit, clean energy and air quality. Now, the emphasis shifts from the budget to legislative concerns like hydrofracking waste, water quality and solar energy.

Both New York senators and 17 of our House members achieved scores of 90 or above, but a number of New York delegation members are not heeding their constituents' calls for environmental progress. We look forward to working with these lower-scoring members, as well as the New York delegation as a whole, to transition our nation to clean-energy economy and more sustainable future.
