You’ve heard about Super PACs, which are making a big splash in the presidential election.

NYLCV PAC works to improve New York's environment by electing more environmental leaders to public office.But did you know that New York’s environment has a pretty super PAC of its own?

It’s called the NYLCV PAC, and it is the political action committee of the New York League of Conservation Voters.

What exactly is NYLCV PAC and how will it make a difference in the upcoming state elections? We’re glad you asked.

NYLCV PAC actually puts environmentalists’ money where our mouths are.  Building off NYLCV’s list of endorsed candidates, the NYLCV PAC actually invests money into the election of pro-environment candidates. Sometimes, we defend green allies who are under attack. Other times, we help defeat anti-environment foes. And there are times, too, when we work to elect promising new green leaders.

In the very near future, NYLCV PAC will announce our top priority campaigns – races where we will run full-scale election operations, with advertising, polling, mail, the whole enchilada.

Our goal is not to support one party or the other, but rather to elect leaders who are passionate about the environment and have the political skills to deliver on their promises.
