NYLCV Named "Long Islanders Of The Week"Submitted by Brendan Szendro on Wed, 2012-07-25 14:26.
Newsday columnist Ellis Henican has named the New York League of Conservation Voters "Long Islanders of the week" for our public-policy Blueprint for a Greener Long Island.
NYLCV's Blueprint for a Greener Long Island was released last week and can be downloaded in its entirety here. It sets standards for county, city and town action in five key areas: sustainable economic development, climate adaptation, natural-resource protection, cleaner energy and water quality. Progress in these areas will also factor into NYLCV's endorsements when we evaluate candidates seeking our support next year.
