Central New York Prime for Green BusinessesSubmitted by Katie Palme on Thu, 2008-06-26 12:11.
A new report concludes that Central New York is a prime region to grow clean technology industries, according to the Syracuse Post-Standard.
Economic developers are going to use the report to lure companies to the area. Battelle estimates that by 2011, this green market could become quite profitable. Darlene Kerr, president of the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, believes that green technology is the best hope for the region's future. "We have agreed that we are going to pool our economic development resources to focus on this sector," she said. |
