Clinton Foundation Reaching Out to College Students

Submitted by Joshua Finkelstein on Mon, 2008-01-28 15:23.

Former President Bill Clinton and his Clinton Global Initiative are planning to expand their work into colleges and universities in an effort to get more young people involved with a series of meetings and discussions on issues ranging from climate and energy to peace and human rights.

According to a press release from the Clinton Global Initiative, the new program, known as CGI U, will begin with an inauguration at Tulane University in Baton Rouge, LA on March 14 - 16, 2008 and Former President Clinton has invited all students to attend. The meeting will focus on how students can make actual commitments to various causes, connect administrators, students, and organizations on similar issues around the world, and how universities can make commitments to various causes as well.

The cost is zero and in some cases you may even get some financial assistance with travel expenses, so if anyone is interested in applying please visit the CIG U website here.
