The Journal News reported that the first hydrogen fueling station in the tri-state area was opened in White Plains. The Shell station's opening was attended by almost 100 people. Some citizens of the town of White Plains have volunteered to test drive the Chevrolet Equionox, which is hydrogen powered, to see how the vehicles fare in real-world settings. The state's hope is to eventually install hydrogen refueling stations up and down the New York Thruway.
