DEC: Let's focus on the communities

The Department of Environmental Conservation focused too much on acquiring land and not enough on the communities around the tracts, the new DEC chief Pete Grannis said.

Grannis, speaking to the Association of Adirondack Towns and Villages, said he wanted to help heal the wounds that the previous administration opened in making their purchases.
