Scott Stringer

Scott Stringer is running for re-election as New York City's Comptroller.

Elected to be the New York City Comptroller in 2013, Scott Stringer has been a shrewd manager of NYC’s financial resources and a proactive defender of our environment.

As Comptroller, Stringer initiated a carbon footprint analysis of investment portfolios and sought to transition 56 billion dollars into low carbon investment options. He launched a campaign giving shareowners the right to nominate directors at U.S. companies, known as proxy access, leading ExxonMobil to elect a climate scientist to a boardroom seat.

In line with his record of environmental equity, going forward he hopes to further diversify boards to increase resolutions and bring in different perspectives.
