Pamela J. Hunter
Since her election to the State Assembly in 2015 to represent District 128, Pamela Hunter has been an outspoken supporter of renewable energy. As a member of the Committee on Energy, she has sponsored impactful pieces of legislation that makes green energy and the conservation of natural resources more of a reality for New Yorkers.
Hunter is committed to New York’s 2030 renewable energy goal and has taken initiative this session by sponsoring bill A09799 that would ensure renewable energy goals and energy conservation are considered when evaluating PILOT projects.
In addition to energy, Hunter is a member of the Committee on Transportation and has been committed to improving transportation systems throughout the state, making it more environmentally sound. Recently she has signed onto a letter with Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy requesting greater investment in energy efficient public transportation for Upstate New York and has sponsored a bill that creates a task force on safety in school transportation.
Among other things Hunter is passionate about cleaning up Onondaga Lake and decontaminating it of industrial pollution, funding the EPA, strengthening water saving performance standards, and enacting effective policy that will reduce single-use plastic bags.
If re-elected Hunter will ensure that New York’s energy is as clean as possible and that New Yorkers have better health and wellness.
