Weiner Chokes on Mayor's Congestion Pricing Plan

In a WNBC "News Forum Now" interview this morning, Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-Queens-Brooklyn) spoke out against Mayor Bloomberg's congestion pricing plan.

The show's host, Melissa Russo, tagged Weiner as, " the only candidate for mayor that has voiced opposition to the current mayor's congestion pricing plan."

Caithness Development Legally Stalled

Riverhead -- State Supreme Court Judge Spinner ordered that the Brookhaven Town board did not follow legal procedure when deciding to move ahead with the Caithness project, a 350-megawatt planned commissioned by LIPA.

Brookhaven representatives plan to file a notice of appeal immediately.

Saving Long Island's Remaining Open Space

The Long Island Pine Barrens Society has concluded a six-month study of Long Island's land preservation efforts and found that Long Islanders have put up nearly $1.2 billion to preserve close to 60,000 acres of open space and farmland.
